Cyprus-based studio Top App Games secures $10m funding

Mobile games developer Top App Games has raised $10 million in funding.
The studio aims to use its newly secured funds to improve the player experience of its strategy RPG game Ludus: Merge Arena and develop new titles.
The company said Ludus: Merge Arena has achieved over $2 million in monthly revenue and 3 million downloads to date, with a 50% increase in daily active users in October.
Led by Markov, the studio said it aims to become a key player in the games market through launching new mobile titles and exploring new genres.
Creating hit games
“The funding will be used to improve and promote our hit strategy RPG Ludus which we will continue to develop and grow its revenues,” said Top App Games CEO and studio head Vladimir Markov. “Moreover, I believe, Top App Games is now ready to attract new teams to create hit games.”
The Cyprus-based company also recently raised an undisclosed sum from former My.Games CEO Vladimir Nikolsky. Top App Games is developing multiple projects across genres, with one upcoming title offering a “humorous" twist on genre fusion.
