Highlights from Pocket Gamer Connects Helsinki 2024

We’ve been delivering our annual PG Connects Helsinki conference since 2014. Over the past decade, we’ve welcomed over 50,000 delegates to our events (live or digital), hosted 42 conferences across 11 countries, facilitated over 100,000 business meetings and, as such, had some impact on or initiated over $1bn deals.

We love Helsinki. The Finnish games industry may seem modest relative to other geographical segments, but it's a powerhouse that is home to some of the world's biggest titles. It is difficult to deny just how influential it remains in the sector. It's the very reason Helsinki has been on the Pocket Gamer Connects roster since the inception of our conference series – the only location, alongside London, to feature every year – and the reason we'll keep coming back.

If there is one place to take the temperature of how the mobile games industry is doing, it’s Finland. The tightness of its games industry community is almost a cliche but it’s worth highlighting: developers are willing to share honest feedback and lessons learned from their successes and failures. Facing the truth with honesty paves a much better path forward.
