SuperPlay secures licence to launch Disney Solitaire 

Mobile games developer SuperPlay has partnered with Disney to launch Disney Solitaire. 

Disney Solitaire reimagines the classic card game by featuring scenes from Disney and Pixar. This includes characters like Aladdin, Elsa, and Moana. Players can collect power-ups and special cards that can alter their strategies.

According to Appmagic, Disney Solitaire has soft-launched on Android devices in Columbia and the Philippines. There's currently no official date for a global launch. 

Playtika expansion 

Playtika recently acquired SuperPlay in a deal valued at $1.95 billion. The company is known for its flagship title Dice Dreams and its more recent release, Domino Dreams. 

This acquisition allows Playtika to expand its presence in the mobile games market with new titles. Playtika was considering putting itself up for sale but then released its Q4 2023 financial results which showed a revenue increase to $637.9 million. 

Following the release of these positive results, Playtika announced it would "pause its strategic alternatives process," effectively taking the company off the market for potential buyers.
