Games commerce company Xsolla has penned a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Uzbekistan innovation hub IT Park to help advance country's games industry.
This MOU formalises the partnership between the two organisations to launch the Xsolla IT Park Academy in 2025.
The academy will focus on training local talent and fostering new opportunities for game production and development within Uzbekistan's growing games sector.
There's also a planned launch of an Incubator and Accelerator to drive innovation in Uzbekistan and create new jobs.
Nurturing the next generation of developers
“We believe this collaboration is a pivotal step in developing the gaming industry in Uzbekistan," said Xsolla chief strategy officer Chris Hewish.
“The game development academy will serve as a cornerstone for cultivating the next generation of developers and innovators, and we look forward to seeing how this initiative will contribute to the region’s growth.”
Abdulakhad Kuchkarov, executive director of IT Park Uzbekistan added: "This MOU is a significant milestone in our efforts to support the gaming industry in Uzbekistan.
