Finding success in mobile games the second and third time around

At Pocket Gamer Connects Helsinki 2016, Oscar Clark led a panel of industry experts in a discussion on what it takes to find success a second or third time around in mobile games.

Joining him were;

• Saara Bergström, Head of Marketing and Communications at Next Games;
• Wilhelm Taht, Head of Games at Rovio, and;
• Petri Järvilehto, Co-Founder and CCO of Seriously.

Make great games

"Ultimately, it all just comes down to making great games," said Järvilehto, suggesting that you need to think about building your company culture from the first game you build, rather than just building from product to product.

"You need to really carefully design the way you bring the values you decided on together," agreed Bergström, saying that the whole team needs to work together to build the company, which will then lead to building a great game.
