Nintendo delays Alarmo clock public sales in Japan

Nintendo has delayed the public release of its Alarmo clock due to production and inventory issues.
According to a statement from the console giant, the alarm clock will be available for pre-order from mid-December exclusively for Nintendo Switch Online subscribers and delivery is expected to begin in early February 2025.
More to come
Nintendo did not specify how long the postponement will last and has urged Non-Nintendo Switch Online subscribers in Japan to await further updates.
While the announcement appears to be limited to Japan, Nintendo has yet to confirm whether the decision will affect those in Europe and North America.
“We had planned to start general sales to customers who are not Nintendo Switch Online subscribers from mid-February 2025, but in consideration of the production and inventory situation of this product, we have decided to postpone the start," Nintendo wrote in a statement.
“The start of sales will also be postponed at game stores nationwide. We sincerely apologise for not meeting your expectations. The postponed start date of the sales will be announced once it has been decided.
“We will continue to produce products so that we can deliver them to as many customers as possible, so we appreciate your understanding.”
Nintendo's Alarmo is an interactive alarm clock that features game-like sounds to wake people up in the morning. It also uses motion sensors to detect movements, stopping the alarm automatically after they get out of bed.
