Games industry veterans and game developers Zoher Toutanji and Roberto Schiavulli have partnered to launch a new studio, Chamo Games

Based in Malmö, Sweden, Chamo Games is focused on developing a physics-based shooter with a diverse European perspective.

The studio has rapidly expanded from the two founders to a remote team of 25 between September 2023 and March 2024 and are currently finalising their first playable build.

Pushing boundaries in game genres

“Chamo Games is more than a studio; it’s a community dedicated to crafting innovative gameplay experiences. We’re eager to share our upcoming project that pushes the boundaries of gaming genres,” CEO Toutanji told VentureBeat

“Our diverse team is united in our vision to elevate PC and console gaming to new heights. Our first project is an unconventional game of skills, but it is also super fun. And from that fun we are building a game that is worth your time,” said Chamo Games' creative director Schiavulli.

Chamo Games' leadership team includes CTO David Lind, executive producer Stephanie Pecaoco, lead game designer Bastian Wendzinki, and art director Sylvia Dybiec, alongside founders Toutanji and Schiavulli.

While specific details were not disclosed, Chamo Games has backing from investors like Lakestar, Sisu Game Ventures, and Griffin Gaming Partners to support its mission-driven approach to game development.
