HoYoverse’s new action RPG Zenless Zone Zero generated nearly $52 million from gross player spending ($36.4m net) on mobile in the 11 days following its official release on July 4th, according to data from AppMagic.

Players in China and Japan are responsible for the bulk of that revenue, with China accounting for 47% of player spending to date, and Japan making up 27%. The United States ranked third for revenue, while South Korea and Taiwan ranked fourth and fifth, respectively.

Looking at global daily revenue on the App Store and Google Play, Zenless Zone Zero peaked on July 5th with $7.4 million in consumer spending. That spending has declined for nine consecutive days since, down to $3 million on July 14th.

However, as much of an achievement as $52 million may be for 11 days of play, Zenless Zone Zero hasn’t managed to reach the same heights as its forebears. During the same period after its launch, Genshin Impact hit $90.1 million from player spending, while Honkai: Star Rail generated $108.6 million.

While not surpassing HoYoverse’s other titles, Zenless Zone Zero already stands among the most lucrative launches of 2024, outpacing Supercell’s Squad Busters.

The biggest launch this year, however, is Tencent and Nexon’s Dungeon & Fighter Mobile in China, which is estimated to have accumulated $500 million in its first month.

Please note: All AppMagic figures unless otherwise stated are gross revenue, to account for App Store and Google Play's 30% fees. Estimates do not account for player spending on non-mobile platforms, third-party Android stores, web shop revenue or ad revenue.
